In the course of our myriad nightclub lives and existences, there comes a time when a truly dark moment grips us in the middle of our revelry. This moment has come to the Red River cultural district community in the beginning of 2024 with the loss of several beloved humans many of us were lucky enough to call “friends” ..

Sara [Go Fund Me] Sara was such a kind soul. It seems like she knew everyone and everyone loved her spirit, her unique and infectious laugh, and her insights. She moved fluidly between different tribes. She was our Harlequin. Our spiritual witch. She was a spark in darkness.
Burt [Austin Police Seek Hit-and-Run Driver After Fatal Collision …] Burt was a truly unique soul in the underground music scene. An enormously friendly person, he was always conscientious of how he was perceived. He craved frequency and friendships. He was full of love and life.
SKY [Go Fund Me] Sky was a DJ and local producer. Much more than the sum of his parts, he was a friendly soul who always sought middle ground in all things. He craved peace and exotic places. He was a wanderer and a wonderer. He affected everyone with his talent and knowledge and his absolute eagerness to entertain the masses. He leaves a legacy behind him. He created successes. He will truly be missed. Enormous loss. Sky was Nite School
I was blessed to know each of these great individuals. It overwhelms me to try to speak to the importance of each of them. I cannot. I am going to remember them here in the pages of Artstrada magazine as a memorial page to them. I cannot begin to express the loss to Austin and to our underground music scene. We are truly broken into thirds. The sky has fallen in Austin Texas. May our maker mercy us with time to grieve and a hope for an eventual peace. Love you Sara, Burt and Sky. You are immortal in our memories. May my God keep you and bless your families with love in this time of mourning. -Trinity
As long as we live, they too will live;
For they are now a part of us:
As we remember them!
At the rising sun and at its going down we remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter we remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring we remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer we remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of the autumn we remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends we remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us. As we remember them. When we are weary and in need of strength we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart we remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make we remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share we remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs we remember them.
For as long as we live, they too will live,
For they are now a part of us, as we remember them. . . .
